2. Shawn Michaels vs. Ric Flair at Wrestlemania 24

This was billed as ‘The Retirement Match’. If Flair lost, he had to retire. Again, superb story telling by WWE writers. It was hard to imagine Flair walking away from the business, but Michaels came out victorious. The ending of the match was filled with excitement, as well as emotion. It had to be hard for fans of Flair to hold back the tears as Michaels apologized to him before laying him out with sweet chin music.
