It’s a pretty safe bet that you’ve never seen a movie like Being John Malkovich. An office clerk working on the 7 ½ floor discovers a hidden door behind a filing cabinet is actually a portal into the mind of actor John Malkovich. Anyone entering the portal is allowed to spend 15-minutes inside of his consciousness before being dumped unceremoniously in a ditch alongside the New Jersey Turnpike.

Amazingly Malkovich agreed to this. The film’s writer (Charlie Kaufman) claims that no other actor was ever considered for the role. And, while they tried to come up with other actors while awaiting his reply, couldn’t find anyone who’s name was as fun to say repeatedly.
