The Farrelly brothers direct the sequel to the 1994 hit starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. The first film was made on a $16 million budget and grossed $250 million. While not much has been revealed about the plot, the trailer shows Harry and Lloyd on a mission to track down one of their children. Kathleen Turner and Rob Riggle also appear. Jennifer Lawrence has a cameo in the film as well. It will be interesting to see if the film can duplicate the same success, as the core audience of the film is now well into their 30s.
Jake Gyllenhaal looks to make a serious run at an Oscar with this film about the sketchy world of freelance crime journalism in Los Angeles. If the early buzz means anything, Gyllenhaal will again have a dark character much like he had in last years Prisoners.
