Ever heard the phrase, “Stop while you are ahead.”? Apparently Sony or Sam Raimi haven’t. After finding critical success with the first two Spider-man films, the studio and Raimi decided to go bigger and badder for the final installation in the trilogy. What audiences got was forced conflict, awkward dialogue, and this beauty of a scene. Instead of going evil with the Venom symbiote, Peter Parker instead turns into the worlds biggest tool. It’s hard to believe that the studio and Raimi didn’t go back and reshoot this travesty. It’s even harder to believe that Tobey Maguire ever decided to show his face again in public.
