It’s hard to believe that this was the first Marvel film adaptation in over 40 years, especially given Marvel’s recent string of successes. However, there was once a time where comic book movies didn’t rule the land, and they had to be championed by known creators. Enter George Lucas, hot off the success of his Star Wars trilogy, and he brings the world an adaptation of Howard the Duck. The film was critically panned, and was probably the biggest joke of Lucas’ career until Jar Jar Binks. Many critics believed the film could’ve been saved by being animated, and its hard not to argue that point after watching the scene below. Something just never quite feels right after watching a talking duck seduce a young Lea Thompson.
