10 Movies to Look Forward to in 2013

8. Captain Phillips (October 11)

Captain Phillips is based on the true story of the hijacking of the MV Maesrk Alabama by Somali Pirates in 2009. Starring Tom Hanks as Captain Phillips and directed by Paul Greengrass (Bourne Supremecy, Bourne Ultimatum), this movie should be a powerful thriller.

(No trailer released yet – will update when one becomes available.)

7. Elysium (August 9)

Directed and written by Neil Blomkamp, who directed District 9, I welcome a new sci-fi movie that isn’t a sequel or reboot. Matt Damon and Jodie Foster star in what ultimately becomes a battle of the classes in future society.
