This was during Hogan’s villain-run with the New World Order. Was Hogan good at being a heel? Yes he was. He was so good, in fact, he was likeable. The crowd was split nearly even, cheering for Rock and Hogan. The end of the match was truly iconic, as a beaten down and elderly looking Hogan passes the reigns to the Rock. Hogan would eventually turn on his N.W.O-mates and give the crowd what they wanted all along, the red and yellow.
