“Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” Pushed Back to September

I hope you didn’t have your heart to set on seeing Oliver Stone’s sequel to Wall Street in April, because the studio has now decided to move its release to September.  There wasn’t a reason given by the studio, but many assume that it is a move to get the film into Cannes Film Festival this May. Bringing the film to Cannes would bring good publicity for its international release.

The film has already seen promotion by its stars such as Josh Brolin, Carey Mulligan, Michael Douglas, and Shia LeBeouf.  Although, moving the film to the fall release schedule might solve some of the congestion coming in the summer movie season.
