In one of the better live shows I have witnessed in a while, The Struts and Barns Courtney heated up The Factory on Saturday, July 27,
Courtney, former lead singer for SleeperCell and Dive Bella Dive opened the show and did not disappoint. Courtney’s energy and command of the stage is undeniable. While he looks like someone out of a 70’s rockumentary, his sound and lyrics are perfect for a new generation of rock fans. Courtney’s powerhouse of a live performance was equally matched by The Struts.
The UK band, known for past hits such as ‘Body Talks’ and ‘Could Have Been Me,’ also brought the non-stop energy, playing for 85 minutes. Lead singer Luke Spiller is the closest thing to Freddy Mercury on the music scene, but the frontman extraordinaire brings his own style and glam to the stage.
The Struts and Barns Courtney did not let fans down on Saturday night, delivering a non-stop, high energy show. Throw in the fact that The Factory is unequivocally the best live venue in St. Louis, and fans got to enjoy one hell of a fun rock show.
