“The King’s Speech” Wins Big at British Independent Film Awards

After viewing The King’s Speech last week I started predicting big wins for the picture, including potential Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor awards for Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush. Seems I’m not the only one on that wavelength. The film captured five awards at the British Independent Film Awards including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Screenplay. Is there a chance The King’s Speech goes home with more in other announcements? Most likely.
