Missouri’s “Winter’s Bone” Continues to Rack Up Nominations in Independent Spirit Awards

Yesterday it was announced that Winter’s Bone won Best Film at the 2010 Gotham Awards, (read about it here) now the film has been nominated for Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Female Lead, Best Supporting Female, Best Supporting Male, and Best Cinematography, giving it the most nominations of the Independent Spirit Awards. Is this going to be the second year in a row a film shot in Missouri is nominated for Best Picture? Only time will tell.
