“X-Men: First Class” HD Trailer Starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence

I have been anticipating this film since I heard that Matthew Vaughn was directing, and it is nice to finally see some footage to back up the anticipation.  I think overall it is a pretty good trailer.  The music and tone are fantastic.  I am not a fan of the twenty second clip show of all the different mutants mostly because a lot of them are more unknown than mutants featured in past films.  There are a couple of intriguing elements to the trailer.  Why is there a man holding a sex doll behind James McAvoy as he opens what looks like a vault?  Why are Erik and Charles about to receive a lap dance from Lenny Kravitz’s daughter?  Why is Mystique kissing pre-transformed Beast when she and Azazel, also shown in the trailer, are the parents to Nightcrawler?  Those crazy teenage hormones.

Starring: James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, January Jones, Rose Byrne, Nicholas Hoult, Kevin Bacon, Zoe Kravitz, Jason Flemyng, Lucas Till, Oliver Platt,

Director: Matthew Vaughn

Release Date: June 3, 2011

Genre: Action, Superhero Adaptation, Sci-fi
