Synopsis:

In an alternate reality, lying — even the concept of a lie — does not even exist. Everyone — from politicians to advertisers to the man and woman on the street — speaks the truth and nothing but the truth with no thought of the consequences. But when a down-on-his-luck loser named Mark suddenly develops the ability to lie, he finds that dishonesty has its rewards. In a world where every word is assumed to be the absolute truth, Mark easily lies his way to fame and fortune. But lies have a way of spreading, and Mark begins to realize that things are getting a little out of control when some of his tallest tales are being taken as, well, gospel. With the entire world now hanging on his every word, there is only one thing Mark has not been able to lie his way into: the heart of the woman he loves.

    Ricky Gervais is awesome, and that is one hell of a cast.

    A side note: Could you please put the screener time into the above information? It would be helpful to know if it’s a typical 7 p.m. screener or an afternoon one. This would be good to know for all screener opportunities. Thanks! 🙂

    Honestly, we want to see the movie because it is free. However, I really do want to see this movie. I really enjoyed the lead actor in the movie Ghost Town.

    The concept behind the movie is what draws me to it the most. Unique ideas are always the first thing that draw me to a movie and I love comedies with a Twilight Zone type of twist like this.

    On top of that, it will be nice to see a Ricky Gervais movie that he had a little more hand in behind the camera. His work on The Office and Extras was great, so I can’t wait to see his humor on the big screen.

    i’m often criticized for being too honest, too blunt, and not tactful enough… even though i’m an excellent liar. see, most people wouldn’t admit being a great liar, but i’m too honest! this movie is perfect for me. it will encourage me to lie so i can function more effectively in society.

    I love, love, love Ricky Gervais. I really want to see this movie or any movie with him. He hasn’t failed in anything yet nor do I expect him to. Please let me win!!!!
    He was the best presenter at the Emmys as usual and hilarious to watch being interviewed.
