Willis, Norton, Murray in Talks to Star in Wes Anderson’s Newest

There is no denying that director Wes Anderson’s films are some of the quirkiest to be released in recent years.  While his films may not be for everybody (Fantastic Mr. Fox is the only one I really loved), there is one consistent component of all of his films: star power.  Some of the actors he has worked with include Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Gene Hackman, George Clooney, and Cate Blanchett just to name a few.  Anderson looks to continue this trend with his next film, Moon Rise Kingdom.

Moon Rise Kingdom will be set in the sixties where to kids fall in love and then run away from home together.  The people of the New England town believe they have disappeared rather than run away so they begin their own searches for the missing children.  While you can safely assume Bill Murray will star given his history starring in Anderson’s movies, no actors are officially attached as of yet.  Rumor has it that Edward Norton will play a boy scout leader who includes his scouts in the search.  Willis is the sheriff who is having an affair with the missing girl’s mother played by Frances McDormand.  Bill Murray plays the girl’s father with Tilda Swinton in an unspecified role.

I certainly love all of the actors involved.  I have said it before on here, but I will say it again.  I have loved Edward Norton since I saw The Score so I am interested in anything he does.  Frances McDormand was one of my favorite parts of Burn After Reading (a film I was not particularly fond of).  Production on the film is scheduled to start in the Spring 2011 so official confirmation for all of these actors should be released soon.

Are you a fan of Wes Anderson?  What is your favorite movie of his?  Let us know in the comments below.
