Watch Weird Miley Cyrus Music Video for “We Can’t Stop” With Major Twerking

Twerking it?
As if Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Achy Breaky Heart” couldn’t break any more, Miley Cyrus is getting further and further from “Hannah Montana” territory everyday. It is clear that the actress/singer/songwriter does not want to be typecasted for the rest of her career, and that she has something to prove. Some may say that she is trying too hard; but you know what? It’s kind of a little bit cool. Sorta.

Her latest video for “We Can’t Stop” is definitely pushing the envelope when it comes to “different,” and is teetering on the edge of weird and a bit disturbing. Eating money sandwiches? Check. French fry skull sculpture? Cutting fingers off at knuckle and bleeding Pepto-Bismol? Why, of course! The video is definitely a bit bizarre. But she’s just being Miley, right?

Ms. Cyrus is definitely comfortable with her body. Half of the video focuses on her shaking her money maker and suggestively dancing for the camera. And hey, there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s just still weird to think of her as a Disney girl. It doesn’t seem that long ago. But that is exactly the image she is trying to get away from. And I think it is working.
