“Tron Legacy” Trailer and IMAX News

Some Tron Legacy news for you!

After a viral campaign called “Zero Hour”, Tron Legacy piqued many people’s interests around the globe. The campaign culminated today at 10am with IMAX’s around the country screening the teaser trailer for those who figured out the puzzle behind the campaign.  The trailer was screened in 3D, and the rest of the general public will be able to see it before Alice In Wonderland 3D.

Director Joseph Kosinski has confirmed that he shot five scenes of the film in larger IMAX format, similar to what Christopher Nolan did for 2008’s The Dark Knight. People who watch the film on an IMAX screen will be able to see the film in its full extended version, and like The Dark Knight will have part of the film in letterbox, and the five scenes in the full IMAX effect.

I’m getting pumped for the trailer, it is a shame that we still have to wait for December before we get to see it. Luckily, the teaser trailer should keep  most people satisfied til then.
