Sony Reveals Official PlayStation 4 Release Date in November

The flood gates have opened; the wars have begun; the time is nigh – however you view it, Sony just laid out its release plans for the newest generation of its longstanding PlayStation console.

November 15th for US and Canada and November 29th for Europe.

The news came during Sony’s press conference at Germany’s Gamescom event. Sony also revealed some numbers, stating that PS4 pre-orders have surpassed 1 million worldwide.

The PS4 will launch in 32 countries and be the direct competitor come this November for Microsoft’s Xbox One.

People must be excited, because as of this writing the PS4 “standard edition” is no longer available for pre-order on Amazon.com.
