David Backes of the St. Louis Blues and the St. Charles Humane Society started the event “Barkin’ for the Blues” to help neglected animals through David’s program, David’s Dogs. The St. Charles Humane Society is a no-kill shelter and provides a home for nearly 1,000 cats and dogs each year. The majority of the animals at the shelter come from private citizens who are unable to keep their pets for one reason or another.
Petropolis’ famous mascot, Charlie the Tortoise, was at the Blues game – taking pictures with fans to raise money for the cause. Check out the pictures below! Thank you to everyone who donated, and helped support a great cause!
