Links and things from me

Here they are, mull these over while you dream of The Watchmen or The Dark Knight.

-Here is The Watchmen trailer, which is so good I don’t know what to do with myself. Here is an article, and the EW cover with the cast as well. Also, the official site is loaded with goodies. And check out this comic to screen comparison.

-here are a couple of Watchmen set visits, here and here.

–School of Rock is getting a sequel, and everyone is coming back.

Ricky Gervais’s first starring role in America has a trailer, it’s called Ghost Town.

-It looks like there is even more fighting and delays in store for Where the Wild Things are. Why can’t WB just trust Spike Jonze?

-A movie described as Napoleon Dynamite meets Hancock, what?!? Loudermilk is a vehicle for Jon Heder to play the geek superhero.

-Here is an article on the upcoming Twilight adaptation, which might be the next big thing. Also, here is a new trailer.

The Spirit, Frank Miller’s (Sin City & 300) latest has a new trailer. Looks pretty good, Sam Jackson will be a crazy good bad guy in this.

-Tropic Thunder is coming out two days earlier, sounds good to me!

-Mark Wahlberg stars in the Max Payne video game adaptation, here is a teaser in shitty flash. Looks half way decent.

Lost Planet, a Capcom best selling video game, is being adapted into a film for WB by David Hayter (who knows video games, he is the voice of Solid Snake).

-Keanu Reeves and the Wachowski Bros. might be re-teaming for an adaptation of the comic book Plastic Man.

-Louis Leterrier discusses his adaptation of Clash of the Titans in this video.

-Rob Marshall is directing a new musical, Nine, and his cast is pretty impressive.

-Get ready for a Wanted II.

-Catch the severely underrated joy ride that is Speed Racer, on Blu-Ray September 16th.

Diablo Cody is adapting an idea of Steven Spielberg’s for the big screen; that is the odd couple of Hollywood right now.

-First Brad Pitt, now Leonardo DiCaprio is apparently being swooned for Inglorious Bastards, Tarantino’s work together a hell of a cast if this is accurate.

-J.J. Abrams talks some Star Trek, can’t wait to see how this turns out, even though I am no where near being remotely deemed a Trekie.

Monster Squad remake, could be intriguing, but the original is a definitive cult classic.

-A new Ninja Turtles movie? Please let it be so.

-John Woo is taking the comic book film plunge with Caliber.

-Joss Whedon’s Dr. Horrible musical web series is online, two of the three episodes are available.

-Will Ferrell is a racist in Two-Face. I have to wonder if this is some PR guy’s idea of trying to get extra attention releasing this news on the eve of The Dark Knight, even though it only shares a characters name.

Outlander could be pretty cool, it stars Jesus and Hellboy; certainly the odd couple.

-Tropic Thunder has a few viral sites up, and are promo sites for a couple of the faux films that will have trailers before the film most likely. Check them here, here, and here. This movie can’t come soon enough.

-Alan Moore, writer of The Watchmen and V for Vendetta graphic novels, has an interview with EW. Check it out here, he isn’t a fan of Hollywood, fyi.

-Check out the trailer for Body of Lies, Russell Crowe, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Ridley Scott all get together for some fun. It’s a CIA spy thriller.

-Here is the trailer for How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, Simon Pegg’s new film.

-Terminator: Salvation trailer is scattered across the internets as well, check it out here.

Flash of Genius looks like a great little untold story about the little man’s fight against corporate America.

Thats it!
