First Photos of Ryan Reynolds as “Green Lantern” and More!

Here is the first photos of Green Lantern and much of the supporting cast. This is all from an upcoming Entertainment Weekly issue, where it will detail much of the upcoming production.  I have to say I’m split on this. I’ve never felt that Reynolds was quite right for the part. (I had been hoping he would be tapped for the part of The Flash.)  I’m still not sold, but I think the costume is interesting. What many people may not realize (unless you are a huge geek like me), is that the Green Lantern costume is actually just a construct of the ring, which will explain why it looks so futuristic, and a little otherworldly.

I have to give a thumbs up on the costume, but I’m still not sold on the casting. I’ll hold onto my excitement until I see a trailer.

Green Lantern is scheduled to hit theaters June 17th 2011.

  • I understand what they are trying to do with the costume and I think the idea is cool but I just think it will make Reynolds look too alien. And maybe that's what they are trying to do but I'm not feeling it now. Maybe once I see it in motion.
