Best “Pants on the Ground” Remix and Cover Videos from American Idol

"The General" Larry Platt performs his original song, "Pants on the Ground" for the judges on American Idol

So it looks like over the weekend, and the last couple of days, the song “Pants on the Ground” is still gaining momentum through covers and remixes. I would be surprised if you haven’t seen one version or another of the song, sang by “General” Larry Platt last week on American Idol. If you missed the original performance, you can watch below. And then, be sure to move on to the remixes and covers below.

Below is the original song, “Pants on the Ground,” sang by Larry last week during the beginning American Idol auditions:

Not even a week later, the song has gone viral across YouTube – and has spawned a slew of covers and remixes. You can find everything from acoustic covers to some pretty hardcore hip hop remixes. Below are some of the best:

(HIP-HOP REMIX) Pants on the ground “the official remix”

This one is pretty darn good remix.

(ACOUSTIC) Pants on the Ground Cover – DOWNLOADABLE(Featured on Ryan Seacrest Page) Brent Morgan

Here is an acoustic cover that sounds pretty darn good. Regardless of the lyrics, I think this guy could make a lot of songs sound good.

(VOCODER) Pants on the Ground REMIX – AMERICAN IDOL

This one uses a vocoder, and puts some pretty smooth sounds together.

(ACOUSTIC) Pants on The Ground Cover – Former American Idol Contestant

Not bad, not bad.

(FOLK COVER) “Pants on the Ground” Cover 🙂

A different sound – but surprisingly catchy

(ALTERNATIVE) Pants on the Ground (Acoustic Cover) – Brandon Gray *MP3 NOW UP*

I really like how this one sounds.

An excellent remix – good production value, and just awesome…

(COVER) Pants on the Ground – Nick Pitera

If you have seen Nick Patera’s performance of “A Whole New World” from Aladdin (watch here), it is safe to say that his cover pales in comparison. But it is still pretty entertaining.
