It doesn’t matter if you are a fan of the games or not. The short film combines CGI and live action to tell the back story leading up to the events of Assassin’s Creed II. The story follows Giovanni Auditore da Firenze (the father of Assassin’s Creed II star Ezio), and will provide new insight into the games universe. It is worth watching if you are a fan or not. It will introduce you into the world of Assassin’s Creed, and most likely make you interested in the series (good job Ubisoft).
