Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Being Brought to the Screen by Burton and Bekmambetov

The latest novel from Seth Grahame-Smith, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, follows a tangent history in which our 16th president is actually a vampire slayer keeping our world safe from a potential vampire threat to the Union.  Producing the picture will be Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov who produced the animated film, 9, last year and this subject matter seems right up their ally’s.  No word on either of them directing, they probably won’t, but we should hear more news about the project in the coming months.

In the meanwhile you can pick up the book, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, by hitting the link and start thinking of your dream cast.  Check out the full story at Screen Daily. Plus check out the books live action trailer below!
