Year – 1996
The film featured the sort of elaborately choreographed, sultry stripteases that have never been performed at any strip club in the history of nudity. The film is notoriously bad. In fact, the only thing that prevents it from being a pop-culture punch line is the existence of Showgirls.
And into this madness Demi Moore thought it would be a great time to give her daughter Rumer Willis her big break. And, in case that wasn’t weird enough, Rumer’s character is not only Demi’s daughter but also the reason she has to take up stripping. Good job, kid.
No, seriously. Good job. Does Hallmark make a thank you card for something like that? Preferably laminated?
The film would be considered one of Moore’s worst decisions. That is, until she married…um….no. I can’t. I’m sorry. It’s just too easy.
Besides, I kind of like Ashton Kutcher. Sue me.
