WATCH THE TRAILER
Taking Woodstock, the new film from Academy Award-winning director Ang Lee, is a 1969-set true story about a man, Elliot Tiber (Demetri Martin), who inadvertently played a pivotal role in making the Woodstock Music and Arts Festival into the famed happening it was. Mr. Tiber found himself swept up in a generation-defining experience that would change his life, and American culture, forever. Based on the book by Mr. Tiber with Tom Monte, the screenplay adaptation is by Mr. Schamus.

If I had to pick my favorite band of all the ones who performed at Woodstock, I’d have to choose Jefferson Airplane. As to why I’m interested in seeing the film, I’m mainly curious to see how Demetri Martin does in the film — I’ve only seen him before on The Daily Show.
I need to get in touch with my inner Aquarious. Please send free tickets my way
Peace, Love and all that stuff,
Jane
Wayne Newton.
My favorite would easily be Jimi Hendrix’s unique version of the Star Bangled Banner, of course!
Whoops – and I want to see it becasuse I love the music and the era!
I liked alot of the music played at Woodstock…and it’s amazing that it’s the 40 year anniversary already.
I like Blood,sweat,& Tears
and the WHO
All music rocks!
Hmm…I like all music but I guess I would have to say Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix.
Want to see the movie to hear all the music again.
Peace!
Arlo Guthrie had just done Alice’s Restaurant and I was hoping to see him perform…we were planning to go and my group got a job for that weekend.
It would be great to see the movie Woodstock and songs by Aquaris this movie would bring back fond memories. Thanks again for the chance to do that. Peace
It is really hard to pick just one–Joe Cocker singing ‘with a little help from my friends’ is iconic–but I think I will have to go with Jimi Hendrix.
The music brings back great memories. I especially like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Starship…really all of them.
I woould like to see this movie to listen to all the music and remember Woodstock.
I’m a huge fan of Sha-na-na! I want to see Demitri Martin in this role!
I would have to say Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young is my favorite. Hard decision though. A lot of great acts to choose from.
I’ve got to see Liev Schreiber as a woman and Imelda Staunton is perfect in any role she tackles.
Jimi Hendrix of course!! sounds like a great movie.
Would like to watch Demetri Martin
The great and lengendary, Jimi Hendrix. This movie will be a blast.
I love ALL music. Some of my favorites would be Greatful Dead,
Jimi Hendrix and the Who.
Want to see this movie mainly to hear all the good music.
i would love to see the Woodstock movie. I heard so much about it. I know nothing about woodstock. Guess it wasn’t in my days but i sure would like to see what every one is talking about.
My 16 year old step-daughter should have been born in the Woodstock era!! She is obsessed and would love to see this movie!!
Casey, my stepdaughter loves all the bands, she has Jimmy Hendrix shirts and Grateful Dead shirts. Every time she gets a new shirt she has to brag!!
Truthfully, I LOVE all music. Hendrix, Joplin, Jefferson Starship. Really no band there I wouldn’t listen to.
Would love to see this movie to relive the era and the tunes.
Looks like F.Destination and Woodstock are on the same day…are they at seperate times???
What is more awesome than 2 screenings the same day?
I like alot of the music played at Woodstock. I would really like to get passes to see this.
I would have to say Hendrix or Janis Joplin. This was a hard question because all the artists were great. Music was amazing back then.
I would have loved to go to Woodstock. The entire lineup was mind-blowing. I’m so happy to see a movie made to honor this amazing event in history. My favorite…Grateful Dead and Hendrix.
