I went to Orlando, FL for a trip to Disneyworld, and it stormed most of the time I was there, especially in Epcot. The lightning was frightening!!!!

Hi, I hope you haven't given out the tickets for this movie yet.
It looks sooo funny. I just saw a commercial on tv and I know I would really like to see this.

Wow! I've never felt more blessed to have never gone on vacation as an adult. After reading all the jellyfish stories, there is no way in hell I'm going to the ocean. I remember vacations when I was a child though. Like the one where my older sister was pouring coffee for my dad and spilt it all over my socked foot. I was probably 6 or so. The sock stuck to my foot. They had to peel it off. Needless to say. We had to make a side trip to the emergency room. The skin on the top of my foot had bubbled up about an inch high off my foot. That was a very painful vacation. Thankfully I was young enough that while I still remember what it looked like, I don't remember the pain.

I was in Jamaica visiting family. We decided to go to the beach one day. I was 8 years old. I was stung by a jellyfish and one of the staff had to piss on my leg. Yeah, it sucked.

When I was 17 years old, I went on vacation with my friend, Heather, and her parents. We were going to Maryland and I was excited because I'd never been to the ocean before. Our first morning on the way to the beach, Heather's parents decided to buy us breakfast at Burger King. About 10 minutes after eating, I ran towards the shoreline excited to jump into the waves. It wasn't long before I was leaning over my boogie board throwing up my breakfast into that beautiful water. The next day, I was back on the boogie board trying to ride a wave into the shore like Heather was. I was overturned by a large wave, and stood up to brush my hair out of my face only to hear Heather yelling from the sand that my top was crooked and I was exposed... and sitting next to me on their surfboards were a slew of 13-14 year old boys, watching intently. Our third day there, boogie boarding yet again, another wave washed over me sending a jellyfish right over my face. I was stung on my eyelid, and when we asked the lifeguard what to do, he said Heather should urinate on it. "On her eye?? I'm not peeing on her eyelid!" she said. He suggested rubbing sand on it, or standing under a cool shower... thanks buddy. Throughout the course of our days at the beach, Heather's parents urged and urged me to wear sunscreen - I didn't listen. I never sunburn, I told them. I rode home in the back seat of their pick-up truck trying not to let any part of my skin touch ANYTHING unnecessarily because I was in so much pain... what a GREAT trip ;o) At least I got a good story out of it!

Getting involved with someone online is probably not something one should be doing in the first place, but as a socially awkward college student back in 2001, I didn't see much future elsewhere.

Actually, as an unemployed and still socially awkward fellow a year away from turning 30, I still don't see much future, but I at least learned my lesson when I went to visit my would-be girlfriend in Arizona. It was bad from the beginning. I elected not to rent a car, thinking that I could just mooch rides off my girl the entire time, so of course I spent the majority of the week locked up in my hotel room. Things only get worse from there as I try to be chivalrous and let her have the only umbrella during a monsoon, agree to visit the University of Arizona's campus and promptly get left there for hours with nothing to do, and then on the day before I have to go, being told that she does not have any romantic feelings for me. So yeah, wonderful time.

So my family and I were travelling to Texas to see my brother who is in the military. We decided to fly on standby which was the first mistake and led to all 5 of having to take a different flight and meant. My mother, who took the first flight, had to wait 16 hours at the airport until my dad, the last flight, finally arrived. We then get to the rental car counter and because we didnt arrive on time our SUV was given away and instead we had to troll around TX in Budget's best version a matchbox car. Finally we make it to our hotle and our eagerly looking forward to our beds when we discover that the hotel made a mistake with the reservation and we ended up in a room with only 1 bed. Yeah, it was like a total Griswold family vacation. Needless to say, we were all ready to call it quits and just come home after our first 24 hours in.
