Conan O'Brien's Last Tonight Show Monologue and Farewell SpeechLast night was a sad night for many, as Conan O’Brien took the stage of his barely used Tonight Show studio for the last time. The final episode of “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,” which was taped on Wednesday, featured appearances from Steve Carell, Tom Hanks, and Will Ferrell. It has been a good week for Conan to go out on, with most people taking his side and showing their support. Viewers have been more plentiful than ever – but unfortunately it was too little, too late. The show exited on a strong note – a performance of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird” by Will Ferrell on vocals and Conan himself on the guitar.
