If you’re familiar with 105.7 The Point (KPNT) then you’ll no doubt remember the Thom & Jeff Show. The have been on the air there, in one configuration or other, for over a decade. Most recently they were doing afternoon drive. However, they were recently let go due to budget constraints and are now doing their own podcast.
I have a long history with them. I actually began (what would become) my professional career as an intern for Jeff Burton and Trish Gazall. So I was very excited to be invited to participate in Thom & Jeff’s new internet adventure. However, I won’t be leaving ReviewSTL.com. I will still be writing reviews (when I can muster the energy) as well as reviewing films via the podcast.
Now, for those of you unfamiliar with Thom & Jeff let me warn you…it gets a little a “blue”. (As vaudevillians used to say.) Since this is a podcast there are no FCC rules to follow so it can (and does) veer into content similar to Howard Stern – Satellite Stern, not radio Stern. So it’s probably not safe for the work place. Unless, of course, your work place is totally awesome.
Also, for those who only know me as “Roger Qbert”, I use my real name on the podcast (hence the new graphic for my part of the website). In real life, I’m Tom O’Keefe (nice to meet you). You might remember me as a former DJ on 105.7 The Point and/or 97FM The Rock.
But chances are you don’t.
You can download the most recent episode using the link below. This week I review Alvin & The Chipmunks, Sherlock Holmes and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. My reviews make up the last segment of the show but I sit in for the whole hour.
