The Joneses Movie PosterThis past Tuesday we saw the release of three major studio films and a myriad of other Blu-ray releases. I personally have only seen one of these three so I will try my best to offer up some information on the other two.

“Date Night” was a film that I was very excited about. Both Tina Fey and Steve Carell are extremely talented, and I was excited to see the two of them team up. I enjoyed the film while I was watching it, but since then have kind of forgotten a lot about it. I remember fun cameos with Mila Kunis, James Franco, and William Fichtner, but I do not remember exactly how they played into the story. I would say Date Night is worth a rental on a date night, but not sure it is worth the buy.

Any time I heard or read anything about “Death at a Funeral,” it was all about how fantastic the original 2007 film was. Then the film came out and when I read a review most of them said to see the original. So my advice on this film is going to be to see the original. With that said, I really like the trailer for this film. Both Tracy Morgan and James Marsden make me laugh.

The other major release this week is “The Joneses” starring Demi Moore and David Duchovny. The film plays on themes such as undercover marketing and finding yourself. I personally was bored watching the trailer. I can’t imagine sitting through the 96 minute run time.

What film out of these three did you get this week? Is that a good release that I did not mention? Let us know below in the comments.
